I started writing short stories in 2001 as a way to cope with loss and death, but no one knew that at the time. Those stories ran at a place called Cleansheets in a genre I thought of as Literary Erotica. The site no longer exists but a portion of one of my first tales exists in Amazon.

I made the decision this year to no longer write under noms de plume, as in not ever. For a long time I attended the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and I studied screenwriting. My teacher did not get back to me on my first novel Heart of Clouds which was written to go to film, for children, and now he passed away in August, 2019. That makes three teachers of mine who have passed, so far.

It’s time to publish my stuff for real, so, I think what I am going to do this new year is do just that. Frankly, most writers need to get paid, you know?

I have a ton of short stories and I was pretty much web published on all of them, but I’m not just one genre.

For a time I was on the writer’s list at ERWA and I am archived there as Adrianna de la Rosa and Valentine Bonnaire. My book Gardenias is in Amazon – a collection of some of my published work you can read for free at this link, it’s sexy, like the genre I started in, once. You will also see two anthologies I have a short story in at that link.

2020 is going to be about writing, not waiting.

UCSB BA ART HISTORY

PACIFICA GRADUATE INSTITUTE MA COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY, EMPHASIS DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY

I had many jobs in life. My first was in fashion, then I worked 20 years for a newspaper until I decided to become a therapist so I went back for my Master’s. During the eight years I was an UNPAID intern I saw many, many people and many, many problems.

My pinnacle as a healer will be to write healing films, and my thesis at Pacifica was on that, so you can watch me write the screenplay for Heart of Clouds right here in WordPress. I was taught to write character studies by some very fine screenwriters at the SB Writer’s Conference, but mine have an added twist. Films can cure things. Imagine films that are so moving that they lift your heart.

My main teacher at the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference was Walter Halsey Davis and he won not only the Emmy but the Humanitas Prize. Read about him here: https://www.emmys.com/bios/walter-halsey-davis they did not bother to honor him in the In Memorium section in 2019, at the EMMYS which shows you how evil Hollywood can be. Walter was WGA, and he was a dramatist. He also knew my uncle Spencer Crilly aka Zoltan Spencer in Hollywood, in my childhood. Both my father Don Brown aka Bob Vosse and my uncle wrote, directed and made films. I watched the Emmy’s 2019. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy4oClmBdxo actors like say Morgan Freeman? Walter MADE YOU. https://www.amazon.com/Resting-Place-John-Lithgow/dp/B000244GCW Never forget. Hollywood can be full of heart or full of shits. Don’t know who you are dealing with? My first boyfriend was Solomon Sturges, the son of Preston Sturges. I suggest you might read “Song of Solomon” in my book Gardenias, available in Amazon for you, for Free. I admire the screenwriters for the millions of exquisite films I have seen. I admire Fellini, and many, many others. From all over the world. I watched the EMMYS 2020 for the first time in years last night. Personally I thought Dumplin’ was Aniston’s best role. I never saw her in Friends, or much else frankly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k86KDFh_q6E

I’m on the full of heart side.

That’s my superpower.

This is my dog Odin and I at our favorite place of all. Any beach, anywhere.
